William Lous Williams (79) of Butler, KY passed away Monday, December 3, 2018. He was born in Cincinnati, OH. on May 20, 1939, son of the late William and Virginia Lanter Williams.
William was a licensed minister and a member of Butler Full Gospel. A Kentucky Colonel, an Air Force veteran and member of the American Legion Post 109. He was a member of D.A.V., Associate Chaplin, a volunteer Chaplin at St. Luke, St. Elizabeth and River Valley Nursing Home.
In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his daughter Darlene Mink, sister Eunice Rattermon, brothers Donald Williams and Larry Williams.
Survivors include his wife of 19 years Coletta Ellison Williams, sons William L. Jr., Bruce, Allen, Tri-Branch and Jeriah Williams, Shayne Baxter, daughters Adillessia Bishop, Theresa Gress, Jan Stone, Sarah Jones and Shelli Jones, sisters Betty Fae Woodrum, Sharon Daily, Carol Barnett, Gerry White, Joyce Griffin, Shirley Cooper, Mary Lou Lilly, brothers David, Robert Williams, David Jones and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Peoples Funeral Home in Butler, KY and from 1-2 pm on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Funeral services will follow on Sunday at 2 pm also at the funeral home. William’s final resting place will be in the Riverside Cemetery under full military honors by the American Legion Post 109.
