Condolence: To the Steele Family - Just wanted to drop a note to you and say how much I feel for your loss. Pete was a good friend and wonderful man. I very much enjoyed playing golf and talking UK sports with him.
I admire and respect his service for our country and the many works he did in the community and for the church. He and Velma raised an outstanding family.
"Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:10
"And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 1 Peter 5:10
Condolence: Our entire family share in your loss. Pete and the entire Steele famiIly have been like family our our lives. We, along with mom, are in Florida and will not be able to attend the services. Know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Bless you all.
Condolence: Dear Velma and Family,
Simply put, so many will join you in sorely missing Pete. A mighty good man. A great patriot. (And unrepentant Cat Fan--how can they possibly manage without both Bob Wiggins AND Pete Steele!)
As you know, Sergeant at Arms Steele patiently waited many a day while commanding the Honor Guard while I had the privilege to mention to families of departed comrades that in "passing" we are as believers fulfilling King Solomon's Ecclesiastes 12:7 ("the spirit shall return to God who gave it") and the Apostle Paul's 2 Cor. 5:6-8 (essentially "...to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"). I hope that the thought will help you as well.
Comfort and blessings to all during this difficult time.
Condolence: John and family I am very sorry to here of Mr. Steele's passing. My father passed earlier this year, so I understand better some of your thoughts and feelings during these days. Praying for a sense of peace and comfort for you all during this time of loss. Hoping you can think of all the happy moments often and may God grant you all the peace that passes all understanding at this time and for the days ahead.
Condolence: Dear friends. May God give you all comfort in your time of need. Our families have always been close and may we always be there for each other in days to come. With sincere love and friendship. The Halcomb families.
