Obituary for Norman "Fred" Workman

Norman "Fred"  Workman
Norman “Fred” Workman (80) of Foster, KY passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at his home. He was born in Spencer, West Virginia on November 13, 1937, son of the late Jay and Mamie Thompson Workman.
Norman was a Veteran of the United States Air force, serving from 1956 to 1958. He was a Pastor at Mentor Baptist Church, New Bank Lick Baptist Church, Turner Ridge Baptist Church, Berlin Baptist Church and Gum Lick Baptist Church. Norman also became the director of Missions in the Union Association.
In addition to his parents, Norman is preceded in death by siblings Robert Workman, Evelyn Labonbard and Janet Needs.
Survivors include his wife Lilly McCalvin Workman, children Michael Jay (Mary) Workman, Sandy (Donnie) Gabbard, Greg Workman and Robin (Tom) Koettel, brother John Workman, his twin sister Frances Knapp, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Arrangements will be held at the Turner Ridge Baptist Church, under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home. Visitation will be 3-7pm, Friday, March 16, 2018, with the funeral service immediately following at 7pm. Graveside service will be held at 11am at the Gumlick Cemetery.
